Michael draws on a rich trove of experiences that began with hitchhiking up the Amazon, contemplating consciousness at Tim Leary’s psychedelic commune in Millbrook, NY, and mastering tipi life on the hemlock-covered Catskill mountains near Woodstock. 

Then, as they say, God opens doors! 

Michael and many other seekers had the grace of meeting the great Sufi saint Bawa Muhaiyaddeen, may peace be upon him, and everything changed.

He left his mountain sadhu life and moved to Philadelphia where he studied with His Holiness for fourteen years and began his art career.
